JEAN DAWSON - MIRACLE MILE TOUR - Live In Boulder, Co.
Written & Shot By Warren SnyderWith the frequent collaborator of artists such as Beyonce, Earl Sweatshirt, Miguel, and many more, artist Jean Dawson is a name that you should absolutely keep in your head, or much more so, your playlist.
With tracks ranging sonically with emotions that leave lingering sense of nostalgia, happiness, angst, and ballads representing his culture as a Mexican-American man, represented with Mexican heritage from his mother and African-American heritage from his father, he charts in his career as an artist with authenticity ranging from all records in his discography. With these factors, it made him a perfect fir for the current leg of Linkin Park’s ‘From Zero” tour.
As Jean was slated to go on tour with the band, he began doing special, one off shows apart of his headlining tour, with artist and longtime collaborator Lecx Stacy joining alongside of him on the “Miracle Mile” tour.
On September 2nd, I was joined by Colton Fairbairn, the primary illustrator of Humaine, and Jackson, one of our photographers to capture the show (independently).
As the night progressed, Lecx Stacy proved to the crowd consistently that he’s a name to remember. Lecx gave the crowd a taste and glimmer into his world with tracks representing the angst you would expect from a teenage cousin, heartfelt lyricism, and a stage presence representative of a Broadway show.
Jean then took the stage, entering with “Kollapse”, a track off of his latest album, Glimmer of God. He played classics ranging from the infamously known Pixel Bath, which Jean stated was actually used as a moodboard photo from the NFL in previous years after the show, tracks from Chaos Now, an album diving within the themes of a boy navigating the journey of identity, and select songs from his first album, Bad Sports.
Here’s the photos from the incredible night:
